Job Description:

Position Overview

Performs a variety of work related to movement and control of materials and finished goods, i.e. responsible for replenishing materials used on the flow line as well as other general material functions. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to and promote The Terex Way Values
  • Deliver materials to work stations throughout the plant to meet production demands
  • Operate fork truck, tugger and/or other PITs
  • Support implementation of kanbans, stocking material, and following escalation procedure for expediting material as required.
  • Perform material counts as needed to verify on hand quantities.
  • Interact with ASI
  • Work under general supervision; instructions and guidance provided on procedural changes, new regulations, etc.
  • Maintain clean work area and participate in 5s standards
  • Troubleshoot basic issues and problems
  • Flex into other areas and departments as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in material handling

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • Certified to drive, or have the skills to obtain certification, a forklift, tugger or other PITs
  • Possess beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to accurately read and understand tape measurements
  • Understand and demonstrate basic computer skills

Physical Requirements of the Job

Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work. Medium to heavy work is defined as:

  • 10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, may include pushing, pulling and lifting
  • 40 to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance of machinery or others to move objects
  • Ability to stand on concrete for 10+ hours per shift

  • Ability to haveacceptable attendance for company standard; provides adequate notification; aware of impact on organization.

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $21.00 per hour.
