Visiting Instructor of Childhood and Special Education

The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education was created in 2003 and is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation ( CAEP). Fisher is among just 24 providers in New York state with CAEP accreditation. The School provides degree options at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels to prepare education professionals for certification as well as teaching and leadership careers in schools, elementary through high school. The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr., School of Education at St. John Fisher University, Rochester, New York is committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, advisement, and service. The Inclusive Education Department in the School of Education is seeking qualified applicants for a one year temporary position as a Visiting Instructor of Childhood and Special Education. The position may be renewable for an additional year.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate foundational, developmental and methods inclusive education courses. Clinical courses and teaching courses in the liberal arts, general education core curriculum may be required. Additional responsibilities include the following: undergraduate and graduate advising and service (including department, school and university committee assignments).

Experience with hybrid/online modalities, and a commitment to and experiences with culturally responsive and inclusive education practices at the elementary level preferred.
