Job Summary

The Vice President of BSS Transformation will lead the end-to-end process of a strategic billing transformation initiative, including the RFP process, vendor evaluation, vendor selection, project implementation, and migration. The role requires an experienced leader with deep expertise in overseeing large and complex programs, vendor management, governance frameworks, and modern billing platforms capabilities. The VP will work closely with business stakeholders and internal technology teams ensuring that the billing transformation aligns with business needs, operational efficiencies, compliance, and security requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the RFP process for the billing transformation, including vendor evaluations, selection criteria, and negotiations.
  • Manage relationships with multiple billing vendors, and evaluate their functional and technology capabilities based on Altice's business requirements and objectives.
  • Oversee contractual terms, SLAs, and key deliverables, holding vendors accountable to project milestones and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison between vendors, business stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring transparent communication and proactive issue resolution.
  • Conduct regular updates with the various business units and senior leadership on progress, challenges, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead a team of project managers, billing analysts, and other supporting teams from the selected vendor ensuring the future billing solution meets operational and user needs.,
  • Oversee the billing migration process, with a focus on zero impact to the existing billing operations and overall customer experience.
  • Establish risk management frameworks to anticipate and mitigate potential issues, with a strong emphasis on data protection, privacy, and secure migration practices.
  • Provide insights into modern billing architectures, agile methodologies, and digital capabilities that support scalable, customer-centric billing operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives post-implementation to enhance billing platform performance, user experience, and cost efficiencies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of fifteen years in telecom or related industry with proven experience in BSS/OSS, including at least five years in a senior leadership role
  • Deep expertise in billing platforms, processes, and migration approaches
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing multi-million-dollar projects with a focus on driving business transformation and operational efficiency
  • Strong financial acumen, including extensive experience with budgeting, P & L and risk mitigation
  • Exceptional stakeholder and vendor management capabilities
  • Proven experience managing complex RFP processes, including vendor negotiations and contract management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful cross-functional stakeholder engagement
  • Preferred - Knowledge of CRM (frontline tools), ERP (Oracle), Inventory systems, and omni-channel commerce and product catalogue management platforms
  • Preferred - Knowledge of Telco Service provisioning and activation platforms (OSS)

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $178,500.00-$255,000.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
