A a Varian Software Project Manager, you will support in releasing cancer imaging solutions to power healthcare teams to have the right information in
the right place at the right time. With Varian's cancer imaging software, care teams make more confident decisions by transforming
unconnected data into clinical knowledge. In this role, you will manage software projects to improve both the outcomes for patients and the
quality of cancer care. There's a good chance your projects will affect the life of someone close to you.

As a Project Manager, you will coordinate with various stakeholders including software engineers, clinical experts, product, and business managers to ensure project completion for software products and releases for customers in radiation oncology and similar oncology fields.
You'll be exposed to numerous challenges as part of a small, but growing department, in the area of medical imaging informatics,
collaboration and analytics.

What You will do:

  • Plan, scope and execute software projects (focus on post market releases) by achieving required project milestones with relevant stakeholders.
  • Setup and run project synchronization and steering meetings with representatives from the different disciplines (Product Management, SW Development, Testing, Dev Ops, Quality, Risk Assessment, etc.).
  • Monitor project progress and mediate and tackle conflicts between different stakeholders/teams.
  • Work with documentation platforms to create, collaborate on, and manage medical device product documents (i.e. design & development plan, risk management plan, etc.).
  • Continuously report project status and project updates to upper Management.
  • Work out mitigation measures plus drive escalations and decision making based on contributor's input.
  • Achieve and verify traceability for quality system requirements on software as a medical device.
  • Limited domestic and international travel may be required (less than 10%)

This position is based in the Greater Atlanta area with flexible working times and a hybrid working model.

What You will have:

  • BA/BS in Biomedical Engineering or related science field
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) in Medical Software Development
  • Professional experience in Software Project Management
  • Ability to organize and prioritize project tasks plus attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence, show calm in the face of chaos and bring order to disorder.
  • Logical thinking and a quick perception are must-haves for this position.

What will set You apart:

  • Good understanding of agile software development processes (SCRUM).
  • Experience following design procedures in compliance with ISO 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and ISO 62366
  • Experience managing Device History File (DHF) records
  • Experience with Varian Velocity software product
