The Georgia Pacific facility in Rincon, GA is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to join our team.

Our Team

Maintenance Schedulers focus on optimizing resources across the mill by managing and scheduling work orders based on priority, equipment availability and workforce availability. Our Schedulers collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and other departments to ensure high uptime, reliability and alignment with operational excellence goals. This involves updating schedules, managing work order backlogs and leveraging SAP tools to prioritize and adjust tasks as needed.

Maintenance Schedulers work 4 10-hour shifts (Monday to Thursday 6:50am to 5:10pm) with possible overtime on Fridays (6:50am to 3:10pm). Additional overtime may be required as needed.

What You Will Do
* Work as a communication channel between areas to optimize mill-wide resources
* Schedule executable work orders based on department priority and scheduled start date
* Work with Operations and Maintenance to verify equipment and workforce/skill set availability
* Assisting the maintenance department to increase uptime and reliability and achieve results in helping the facility to meet operational excellence goals
* Participate in prioritization and deviation meetings for various business areas and maintain a weekly schedule of prioritized Work Orders and maintenance resources
* Work with the Gatekeeper and Performance Coaches to maintain and update Rev Codes as necessary and to identify priorities for scheduling and rescheduling
* Work with Gatekeeper & OMC to constantly update "Ready to Schedule" backlog, and update the schedule when deviations occur
* Leverage SAP Business Client Planning Board to meet AMWP Scheduling Workflow

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Experience with mechanical and electrical planning
* Experience in manufacturing operations, maintenance, engineering, or reliability
*

What Will Put You Ahead
* Experience with planning and scheduling large industrial shutdowns and outages
* Experience working with SAP (or another ERP system) and/or CMMS
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
* Mechanical or electrical experience
