Responsibilities
- 1. Must maintain the Standards of Professional Behavior at all times.
- 2. Ordering and Stocking supply on scheduled day as well as responsible to review unit on off stocking days and fill any supply low and outages via ordering through the Service response center (8-9000) or coordinating through the CCS/CSC.
- 3. Must also be able to step in other areas as needed to ensure that the organization supply needs are meet.
- 4. To stock and maintain any assigned ancillary stocking locations (example over Pyxis and precaution stations)
- 5. Review packing slips and make annotations on discrepancies and report back to supervisor or CCS.
- 6. Utilize the Par Excellence system and is responsible to reconcile any (White) trackable item on a weekly bases minimal and more frequently if needed. Requisition (Blue) non trackable items on supply ordering days.
- 7. Must know and manage the use of the HHT (P-Dad) Par Management system/devices
- 8. Manage and maintain the supply areas in a neat and orderly manner that is conducive to good patent care and maintains in accordance to JCAHO standards. Ensure no over stocking, check for expiration dating and rotating stock.
- 9. To work in a quiet and respectful manner to promote a good healing environment.
- 10. To maintain a high quality of Customer Service and interpersonal relation with customers and team mates.
- 11. Support conversion process to include but limited to relabeling, ordering and swapping out items being changed. To have a knowledge of the product change.
- 12. Maintain and manage buttons/Labels, bins, probes and any other equipment pertaining to managing the supply ordering system
- 13. Responds to customer inquiries and request on assigned units
Qualifications
EDUCATION High School Degree or Equivalent EXPERIENCE One to two years of Materials/Supply handling order experience in a patient care unit setting. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Patient Services Managers and Material Management Staff. LICENSURE Must have a current driver's license and an acceptable driving record. SPECIAL SKILLS Demonstrated competency in operating handheld and desktop computer systems as needed for supply ordering, replenishment and project work. (i.e. Lawson). Demonstrated competency in Supply Management concept (eg. PAR level). PHYSICAL DEMAND Requires lifting of cases of supplies up to 50 lbs. Pushing heavy rack tracks loaded with supplies. Operating in confined supply room spaces, and working to OSHA standards.
Additional Information
High school diploma required 1 year experience in supply chain/materials management or other related job experience preferred Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills
