Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and monitoring the site's supply chain strategy (Medical Device Manufacturer in Nuclear Medicine), analyzing data, and monitoring performance. They will improve productivity and efficiency, reduce costs and backlog while securing high quality materials (sheet metal, copper, lead, electrical components, boards, hardware, etc.), and controlling site inventory. They will also support the implementation of continuous improvements tools & processes. The Supply Chain Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations of the site and works closely with the Director of Supply Chain for the Medical business on strategic matters.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:
* Create and implement the site's tactical procurement strategy.
* Ensure all site material processes (purchasing, planning, scheduling, warehouse, logistics) operate efficiently.
* Work directly with the strategic Supply Chain team to ensure the site aligns with enterprise priorities.
* Analyze operational performance and resolve issues.
* Monitor logistics to ensure smooth operating.
* Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.
* Evaluate and report on site level KPIs.
* Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
* Negotiate with suppliers/vendors for more profitable purchases.
* Resolve issues that arise (delays in delivery, accidents, etc.)
* Responsible for supplier management and compliance.
* Maintain inventory and records.
* Partner with other departments (Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, etc.) to create coordinated plans for business growth.
* Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations meet quality and safety standards.
* Participate in risk management and support customer complaint assessments.
* Support production planning and forecast evaluation for manufacturing capacity.
* Minimize customer backorder risk as well as risk of material outage for manufacturing.
* Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards, and safety guidelines.
* Optimize stock levels through inventory analysis.
* Train and supervise employees.

Skills and Experience:

* 8+ years' experience with Medical Devices in Materials Management, or Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
* Previous experience as a supply chain manager in a similar field with an excellent understanding of supply chain processes required. APICS knowledge/certification highly desired
* Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a "hands-on" attitude and the ability to focus both on detail and fast execution needed.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills required.
* Project management experience and attention to detail required.
* Supervisory/leadership experience needed. Ability to train and delegate required.
* Creative problem-solving capability.
* Experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft D365, and familiarity with MS Teams needed.
* Ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time.

Academic Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Logistics, Engineering, Science or Business required
* Knowledge of international trade, customs, and transportation laws and regulations.
* Training of specific country regulations a plus.
