Applicants must have an MFA in studio art or a related field that requires minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in studio art or equivalent training and experience. Candidates who demonstrate a record of appropriate professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching are preferred. Experience with Canvas course management system is preferred.

Job Description
The Art Department seeks part-time adjunct faculty to teach Ceramics: Introduction to Wheel in Spring 2025. Instruction will take place in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11- 1:45 p.m. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The department is committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Successful applicants will work with program area coordinators to ensure course consistency throughout the curriculum. Adjuncts develop course syllabi and provide students appropriate written information concerning course objectives. Adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and accurate and timely submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Adjuncts must also complete a self-evaluation to determine instructional effectiveness and maintain appropriate office hours. Faculty also may assist in student recruitment and retention. These positions are particularly suited for potential faculty who possess an MFA in studio art, professional experience in wheel throwing, and 2 years of teaching experience.
