If you are a change agent looking for a challenging opportunity with just as much reward, this could be a great fit.Summary/ObjectiveThe overall objective of the Reliability Engineer is to ensure safe and reliable operation of production facilities at the lowest life cycle cost. This person will be expected to work independently and make technical decisions and recommendations based on analysis of data collected, including analysis of cost, risk and benefits. This position requires a combination of office work and field work, with a strong sense of urgency and integrity. This position may require occasional travel domestically or internationally. Accessibility during off-hours (laptop and/or cell phone) is occasionally required.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Responsible for developing and implementing maintenance reliability guidelines, practices and procedures. Responsible for maintaining equipment files, spare part information and computer maintenance management system information (JDE). Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and monitoring preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Ability to identify and propose small capital improvement projects to improve reliability. Accountable for implementing Management of Change (MOC) as well as providing technical input to Safety, Operations and Maintenance Management. Accountable for providing coverage for supervision as needed/directed. Responsible for compliance with, and active support of all Safety and Environmental requirements. Provides guidance and training on the proper and safe use of equipment and materials.Responsible for conducting incident investigations, if assigned. Responsible for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data review and action development.Other duties and responsibilities include: Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.Develops and maintains critical spares list.Advises plant management on critical spare parts needs.Works with other supervisors to coordinate activities with individual departments.Obtains bids, selects and directs contactors and maintenance personnel assigned to him/her as necessary to coordinate completion of projects.Ensure corporate and vendor/contractor compliance with local, state and federal regulations during project installation.Coordinates, expedites and assures quality of contracted work with minimum interruption of normal production operations.Monitors Contractors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Ensures completion of contracted work to expectations and quality standards before approving payment.Other duties as assigned by Manager.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from 4-year college or university.3-5 years of related experience or training.Preferred Qualifications & Skills: 5-10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing maintenance environment.Mechanical Engineer Degree / Hydraulic Engineering Degree.Experience developing and implementing reliability Maintenance Programs for 24/7 Manufacturing Facilities.Supervisory Experience.Rousselot is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration to qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, age, pregnancy, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, physical or mental disability, military service, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state and local law.
