Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work hybrid with our client in Chelmsford, MA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The engineer will ensure the electrical components in the modules meet the highest reliability requirements and the product life cycle requirements.
  • Researching component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles, and component construction processes.
  • Generation of Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings, and Altered Item Drawings.
  • Lead part standardization and part selection.
  • Process change notices in PTC windchill for the Part Bill of Materials and maintaining the engineering BOM by the client's processes.
  • Develop component qualification test plans and execute part qualifications with Test houses.
  • Develop component screenings for parts as directed by the Parts Management Process plan.
  • Interface with customers to present part changes and impact on hardware.
  • Lead Component Failure Investigations as needed.
  • Participate in qualifying alternate test houses for part finish mitigations & part qualification.
  • Research and determine the impact of PCNs and obsolescence on the programs.
  • Mentoring less experienced engineers with parts knowledge.

Pay: $80/hr.

Hours: 4/10A-1st Shift.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Component Engineering Experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience with PTC windchill application for BOM maintenance.
  • Experience with RF Component Selection.
  • Experience with Part qualification & Failure analysis.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of military standards & automotive electronics standards.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Component Technical Specifications.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance.
