The Technical Training Specialist designs and develops curriculum for and provides training and support for the firm's software applications and processes. This individual will be responsible for researching and testing new products, creating training materials, and will be a subject matter expert on the firm's principal applications.

This position can be based in Austin, Dallas or Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and deliver engaging and effective training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and tailor programs accordingly.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand specific training requirements for various teams.
  • Develop training materials, including presentations, handouts, and multimedia content.
  • Facilitate training sessions through a variety of mediums, such as in-person workshops, webinars, and e-learning modules.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback, making continuous improvements.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development.
  • Participate in projects that introduce new or updated software initiatives.

Qualifications and job-related skills:

  • Bachelor or Associate degree
  • Proven experience in the role of corporate trainer or similar
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with different training methods and techniques.
  • Ability to assess training needs and develop targeted programs.
  • Proficiency in using training tools and platforms.
  • Certification in training and development is a plus
