Georgia-Pacific is looking for a Customer Account Representative to be part of the Packaging and Cellulose Supply Chain team. The role involves managing customer accounts for GP Containerboard Trade and overseeing supply chain for GP Mailers Facilities. This includes monitoring orders to ensure they meet customer delivery requirements and coordinating monthly purchases and sales reconciliation with trade partners. The position requires interaction with external customers, the GP supply chain team, and other internal groups to develop and implement solutions for service improvement and cost optimization. This is a hybrid position based out of GP Center in Atlanta, GA. What You Will Do * Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to address their needs, understand trends, and serve as the main point of contact for all supply chain activities. * Utilize economic thinking to perform business analysis, identifying problems and opportunities, and proposing solutions for the containerboard trading function. * Enter and manage customer purchase orders in the order management system, ensuring smooth movement between production mills, box plants, and warehouses. * Schedule customer order production across the mill network, considering lead times, production and transportation costs, and delivery dates. * Optimize inventory levels at Georgia-Pacific corrugated facilities and warehouses through demand and supply analysis. * Communicate effectively with customers to handle orders, cancellations, and inquiries, updating them on any changes or delays. * Collaborate with the Trades Manager and cross-functional teams to develop and implement service and cost optimization plans. * Approach customer account issues with an entrepreneurial mindset, identifying root causes, proposing solutions, and resolving issues promptly. * Ensure accurate and timely trade-balance reporting to assist in planning monthly supply to GP plants. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of experience in a Customer Account Representative or equivalent role (experience may substitute for a degree). * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with skills in Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Word, and PowerPoint. * Experience in account management or sales support, including areas such as inventory, logistics, planning, or scheduling. * Experience with order entry, ERP systems, and/or billing processes. What Will Put You Ahead * Experience in customer account management or supply chain within a manufacturing company. * At least 2 years of experience in finance, customer service, sourcing, or a related supply chain role. * Familiarity with order management, fulfillment, or inventory programs such as Infor, Honeywell, or SAP Ariba. * Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
