Job Overview

Hubbell Armorcast is on the search for two Quality Inspectors for our production line. We will need a Quality Inspector in the 1st shift and the other in the 2nd shift. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, verifying, and adhering All Armorcast Products meet company and procedural standards in their designated departments. The Chose candidates will perform product evaluations, record inspection results and either approve or remove products that fail to meet specifications. The Quality Inspector will have a keen eye for detail and will work closely with department leads, supervisors and engineers. The Quality Inspector position will be an hourly production-based role. A premium of $2.50 will be added to the base pay of this position (base pay at $20 per hour). For the Quality Inspector working in the 2nd Shift, a 10% shift premium will be added for all hours worked in the 2nd Shift. Benefits begin 1st of the month following hire date.

A Day In The Life

  • The Quality Inspector will provide product inspection support in the assigned production areas.
  • Provide Operations Supervisor's with real time feedback when issues are being identified and are non-compliant.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory counts of work in process.
  • Utilize basic level computer, excel, documentation, and math skills
  • Perform process audits utilizing mobile technology.
  • An understanding of safe chemical handling procedures to facilitate catalyst distribution to the lines.
  • Ability to compare mold set-ups to Engineering drawings.
  • Ability to communicate at various levels of the organization. The position will require constructive interaction with Material Handlers, Casters, Leads, and Supervisors.
  • Practice and promote safety at all times.
  • Work well with others, teaming skills.
  • Ability to work overtime

  • Ability to communicate effectively across a wide audience (Coordinators, Peers, Supervisors, vendors, Truck Drivers, Purchasing, Production Control, Leads)
  • Recognize and report safety concerns.
  • MS Office a plus.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • All other duties assigned by supervisor.
