Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a highly skilled Night Shift Multicraft Maintenance Technician to join our lumber facility in Rome, GA. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and expertise in maintaining and optimizing manufacturing equipment. By performing both preventative and corrective maintenance, you will play a vital role in improving equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency. What You Will Do * Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and actively engage in safety initiatives. * Troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment and processes to support operations. * Conduct preventative maintenance and proactive asset strategies to improve reliability and uptime. * Install and repair mechanical drives, gearboxes, chains, belts, and couplings. * Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, and control devices. * Perform pipefitting, welding, cutting, and installing piping throughout the facility. * Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify and prioritize tasks. * Research parts using equipment manuals and submit work orders in the CMMS. * Communicate work performed and equipment status through written and verbal updates. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Minimum 2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance millwright experience with a strong focus on both mechanical and electrical systems. What Will Put You Ahead * Advanced Multicraft maintenance skills, such as: * Expertise in mechanical and electrical maintenance. * Precision alignment of motors, bearings, and couplings. * Knowledge of lubrication systems, hydraulic systems, and fluid handling. * Welding and fabrication capabilities. * Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting abilities. * Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance capabilities. * Knowledge of PLC and Controls * Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
