Department of Surgery Academic Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis Health located in Sacramento, California, seeks to recruit a full-time Academic Trauma Surgeon at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor level in the Health Science Clinical Professor, Clinical X or In-Residence series; dependent upon experience and qualification. Expectations of a Clinical X and In-Residence series are to engage in teaching, research, service and clinical work, while expectations of faculty in the HSCP series are primarily clinical and include teaching, service and scholarly and/or creative activities. The selected candidate will contribute to the growth of the educational, research and clinical missions of the surgical programs at UC Davis Health. Expected responsibilities include teaching; both inpatient and outpatient, clinical care, resident and fellow teaching, research related to trauma services and participation in the trauma, acute care surgery and surgical critical care team conferences.
