Under the supervision of the Manager for Gift and Data Services, provide gift systems support and gift review to ensure compliance with regulation and gift policy. Responsible for interacting with clients on a regular and sustained basis, and plays a critical role in providing valuable client feedback, both anecdotal and metrics-based, to Advancement Services regarding Centralized Gift Processing and gift systems in general. Collect and document users' functional, data, and technical requirements for system enhancements. Review and suggest potential design solutions that satisfy user needs and improve business efficiency. Develop and deliver end-user training in a variety of media. Act as a gift policy resource for gift submitters. Provide comprehensive analysis and summary of meetings, requests, or issues to all levels of constituents, adapting the message appropriately to different audiences as they relate to Centralized Gift Processing. Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or updated applications to meet tight deadlines. Guide end-user through UAT. Work as part of the Advancement Services team supporting fundraising activities at UC Davis. Analyze gift, biographical, and other types of data in Advance for accuracy and patterns of error. Improve data integrity by designing and participating in manual cleanup projects. Monitor and verify data and participate in setting standards for data entry/format. Work with schools, units and colleges to merge systems into Advance.

- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience analyzing business needs, system resources, and end-user need to improve existing data entry and input processes, including understanding and enforcing data standards.
- Experience to function effectively in an environment of changing priorities, conflicting demands, and highly fluid organizational structures.
- Experience working with confidential records.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility to work effectively with management, vendor, staff, and external parties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in not-for-profit or fundraising environment managing small to mid-size projects.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: accounting, financial reconciliation, large complex database structures, Advance Web.
- Awareness, knowledge, and skill in applying diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, with a strong commitment to fostering a diverse and safe workforce through collaboration and effective teamwork with a broad range of department and campus constituencies.
- Skills to analyze and synthesize statistical data and create detailed and complicated reports and their respective charts, graphs, and mapping. Skills to develop report specifications from customer requirements and develop reports that represent the data.
