Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining/increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts within the OEM channels. Accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans within designated customers and/or within a designated sales territory. Provides direction to facilitate accomplishment of open requirements related to new business development and successful completion of program goals and objectives. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and maintaining effective agreements. Actively supports the corporation's Win Strategy.

Works with customers, suppliers and interfaces with Quality, Production, Marketing and other related departments. Provides direction as necessary to ensure successful program milestones are achieved. Represents company at trade shows and other professional activities. Reports to Business Development Manager.

Roles/ Responsibilities

Manage customer relationship

  • Develops and maintains strong client relationships with OEM customers and may or may not have distributor accounts while meeting position objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of divisional products, applications, features, advantages and benefits. Keeps up with internal and external training and development.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing and terms and conditions.

Program Management

  • Interface with Business Development Manager on all new and/or modification programs at designated accounts.
  • Assist Business Development Manager in prioritizing new business.
  • Interface with Engineering and Quality concerning customer requirements.
  • Coordinate all development and qualification activities thru NPI process to meet customer commitment dates.
  • Develop/prepare customer proposals for new business.
  • Support Business Unit and Business Development Manager with customer visits when necessary for preliminary and critical design reviews.
  • Assist in identifying new product needs for the Division and/or Business Unit.
  • Keep Business Unit informed on progress of development activity schedules, monitors use of resources, manpower allocations (actual) versus budget, and communicate and plan transition to production.
  • Develop cost estimates for new products and services. Monitor cost versus price performance at designated accounts. Assist in pricing activities.
  • Assist in preparation and submittal of technical materials to support Non-Recurring Engineering requirements for designated accounts.
  • Grow customer satisfaction through premier customer service.
  • Maintain Gantt Chart for all activities.
  • Interface with appropriate personnel to keep activities on schedule.
  • Contribute to improving business systems (program management, proposals, schedule tracking and budget compliance for Development projects) through newly proven and innovative approaches and technology.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering or Technology field and minimum 3 years of related experience required, preferably Aerospace experience
  • Citizenship: US Citizen
  • Vision: 20/25 corrected or uncorrected
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must have good working knowledge of product flow and associated processes
  • Must be able to travel overnight as required

Prefer Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, project management, FMEAs, and quality systems experience.
