Description

This Master Scheduler creates and manages the master production schedule to meet shipping dates based on forecasts and customer orders. Key responsibilities include the implementation of a SIOP Process, analyzing demand, identifying production gaps, and optimizing inventory. The role requires tracking production metrics to improve efficiency, maintaining master data, adjusting schedules as needed, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.

Essential Duties



  • Analyze and assess demand planning, forecasts and execution plans while identifying gaps with production capacity and escalate issues as needed.
  • Create production schedules and track KPI's to enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Conduct routine analysis on production output versus the master schedule and implement plans to achieve improve as required.
  • Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to ensure materials and resources are aligned with the production schedules.
  • Create and maintain master schedules that align production capabilities with customer demand.
  • Analyze capacity requirements to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.
  • Schedule production activities on the shop floor to optimize workflow and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Develop and execute strategies based on lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the coordination of material flow and services throughout the facility to ensure timely delivery.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement in material management.
  • Maintain Item master accuracy and ensure PFEP (plan for every part) to meet business requirements.
  • Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and sales, to align goals and ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.



Essential Requirements



  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and production planning software. SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, suppliers, and cross-functional departments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to multitask to accommodate business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in material scheduling.



Additional Requirements



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
  • Certifications in supply chain management, such as APICS CPIM or CSCP, are a plus.



Education & Experience Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in materials management, production planning, or supply chain roles.
  • 5 years of experience in a low volume, high mix, customized, manufacturing environment.
