Job Objective:
Leads the maintenance technicians to perform maintenance tasks within both the plant and field. Helps to manage, plan, schedule, and resource the maintenance of process plant and field equipment, devices, and facilities. Keeps track of company's daily costs per assigned projects. Provides visible leadership to company and contract employees involved in the above activities.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.
- Reviews weekly task assignments and performance of maintenance technicians and provides direct feedback on tasks and performance.
- Provides decision making when required, act as facilitator to ensure appropriate discussions occur when problem solving as a team.
- Works with the maintenance administrative technicians to ensure appropriate preventative maintenance activities are planned and resourced and documented when complete.
- Provides leadership and direction in response to emergency and upset conditions as necessary.
- Monitors and reviews work order backlog and suggests prioritization of work.
- Researches and orders repair and spare parts for machinery and equipment.
- Performs inspections and testing of machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Leads the set-up, operation, and repair of oil field machines and equipment and adjusts controls that regulate operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Records and maintains production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
- Communicates with or assists other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Reads work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
- Inspects or tests damaged oil field equipment and machine parts, and marks defective areas and/or advises supervisor of need for repair.
- Installs equipment, pipelines and facilities, as assigned.

Other Job Responsibilities:
- Participates on emergency response team for location.

Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years minimum experience in the maintenance of oil and gas production field equipment.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to work long hours in order to cover/monitor assigned field territory.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Computer skills to stay in communication and prepare and submit reports.
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
