Job Title: Business Process Analyst II

Operating Company: Environmental Solutions Group

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Reports to: Information Technology (IT) Manager

Department: IT

POSITION SUMMARY:

TheBusiness Process Analyst will work with business stakeholders to identify areas where performance or processes can be improved and to develop and support the systems/tools/applications stakeholders require to improve their functional area. This involves meeting with key stakeholders to determine the goals of the system/tools/applications, gathering and analyzing data and process mapping, and creating the business solution. Some travel is required to meet with stakeholders and observe processes may be required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Meeting with stakeholders to discuss areas of focus and improvement within the business and understand current state.
  • Conducting site visits to analyze equipment and established processes.
  • Gathering and processing data to identify process performance areas.
  • Identifying solutions/tools and designing workflow and process strategies to improve business performance.
  • Overseeing the implementation of the system/tool.
  • Analyzes business processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective business systems software to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Establishes systems specifications and objectives, based on business requirements and cost effectiveness, and provides recommendations to management personnel.
  • Collaborates with others in systems development and design, including software programming and table, report, and panel design.
  • Develops test plans and coordinates and performs software testing.
  • Designs and develops processes to monitor and measure business performance.
  • Collects and maintains performance metrics and analyzes data to make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Leading and implementing process improvement, process redesign, and system changes.
  • Educating business users responsible for managing and operating business processes.
  • Monitoring, measuring, and providing feedback on process performance.
  • Supporting and understanding stakeholder processes, systems, and tools.
  • Staying up to date with the latest business practices and technologies.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Computer Science, Systems, or similar is required or equivalent experience.
  • Internship in businesswhere you help leverage technology for better workflowand reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience as a business process analyst or similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills involving multiple departments.
  • Good developer skills, especially with SQL and Low Code solutions.
  • A willingness and desire to leverage new solutions and new technologies.
  • Goodunderstanding of Software solutions, business functions, workflows, and processes - SQL Queries, R, Python for instance.
  • Excellent written and great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong report writing abilities, an aptitude for analyzing data, and great business acumen.
  • Detailed knowledge of workflow and process control software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and interviewing skills.
  • Experience with team management.

Continual Improvement and Problem Resolution: Identifies and communicates suggestions for work improvements. Uses technical and analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Performs root-cause analysis and implements viable, permanent solutions to problems. Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet company-wide needs and objectives. Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or creates opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Shares best practices with other employees across the business.

Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accessibility for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects, programs, and duties as outlined in this job description. Advises supervisor of concerns, problems and progress of work in a timely manner.
