IMEG Corp. is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Landscape Architecture Graduate -Designer 1 role in our Long Island, NY office

Scope

The Landscape Architecture Graduate - Designer 1 will work closely with a team of internal experienced landscape designers and landscape architects, and other IMEG land development professionals to provide landscape architecture design solutions and prepare various technical deliverables for project work. Primary responsibilities include assisting in design and technical work directed by a senior colleague. In this position, the expectation is to work with the project's budget and collaborate with other land development teams to meet the project goals and client expectations.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assists with the preparation of exhibits, presentation graphics and renderings
  • Assists with the preparation of landscape and planting plans, and tree preservation plans
  • Assists with research, calculations and data entry for associated plans and reports
  • Assists with concept and schematic landscape design
  • Assists with site visits and tree assessments
  • Assists with the preparation of landscape sheets within entitlement drawing submission packages and site plans for plan processing and implementation

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Skilled in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp
  • Good graphic skills, and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Regional plant knowledge for application in both planting design and field identification
  • Good organization and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in, Landscape Architecture or equivalent required
  • Prior internship experience in land development preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
  • Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises

Salary Range $69,000 - $71,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options. In addition, IMEG Corp. provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
