Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for providing expertise in the design, implementation and evaluation of enterprise clinical services. Accountable for activities classified within the broad categories of design, implementation, testing and validation, and training toward the deployment of Ridgeview Medical Center's Enterprise Information Systems. Works with both internal and external customers to write business requirements, functional specifications, resolve design and gap issues to effectively utilize systems owned and used by Ridgeview Medical Center and Clinics.

Job Functions



  1. Leadssystem configuration recommendations ofvariousEnterprise Technologies to meet the needs of the organization.


  2. Analyzes projects to estimate effects on business, employees, and internal customers.


  3. Designs and implements new and/or changing technology to enhance overall IT business functions throughout the organization.


  4. Reviews programs prior to implementation to validate conformance to established Information Technology departmental guidelines, policies, and processes, as well as industry standard guidelines.


  5. Conducts acceptance testing, data conversion, and program deployment for assigned projects.


  6. Develops test data and performs tests to validate the accuracy of program logic to produce desired results.


  7. Supports deployment of new and revised systems by providing user training.


  8. Partners with project sponsor, IT partners and cross functional team members from inception to delivery.


  9. Gathers, documents and tests to ensure that deployment plans are in place, including communication and training.


  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education/Work Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years of complex IT environment experience


  • Minimum 3 years of IT systems analysis experience required, strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology preferred.


  • Experience in Hospital/Clinic information systems EMR/HIS


  • Knowledge of ancillary workflows, previous experience in lab/radiology device upgrades/implementation


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables


  • Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions


  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above


  • Highly skilled in incorporating successful interviewing, facilitation, and documentation techniques within a project


  • High-level of knowledge, experience and success with writing and reviewing test cases


  • Knowledge of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management


  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills


  • Highly developed problem solving skills


  • Ability to partner with technical and non-technical staff as well as third party vendors to deliver effective results


  • Strong ability to see business needs from the user point of view and translate those needs into a technical solution


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous EHR/EMR experience, specifically Epic
  • Experience with PACS
