Job Title: Project Coordinator (Open Rank: Intermediate-Senior)

Job Summary:



The Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome is the largest academic home for Down syndrome research. The Crnic Institute collaborates with prominent scientists and leaders around the globe to enable precision medicine approaches to improve health outcomes in Down syndrome. The Crnic Institute is seeking a passionate project management professional with demonstrated experience in supporting several highly visible and diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Project Coordinator- 75%



  • Develop and implement project plans; develop and maintain project SOPs and oversee their use and implementation.
  • Work with project leads to set and achieve project objectives. Track progress to project milestones and deliverables; manage changes in timelines; resolve or escalate issues, as needed, to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate and support the activities of project workstreams, including defining business requirements, scheduling and running meetings, setting agendas, taking and distributing minutes, and assigning and following up on action items.
  • Develop and execute a strategic communication plan for projects. Manage communications among internal and external stakeholders. Ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Throughout project execution, work with the project leads to comply with applicable agreements, data privacy, and security regulations.
  • Responsible for creating business intelligence tools and systems as needed to report on key metrics
  • Manage relationships with all project leads and community partners. Facilitate communications and feedback. Address and/or escalate user issues as needed.
  • Other project management related duties, as assigned.


Communications and Community Engagement- 25%



  • Assist with creating and reviewing content (e.g., blog posts, newsletters, social media posts, news stories, press releases, etc.) conveying complex scientific ideas to both scientific and lay audiences while explaining implications for future research and medical care.
  • Collaborate with project leads to design, build, review, and maintain project- and organization-specific websites.
  • Organize community outreach events and activities, including listening tours, symposia, user workshops, representation at scientific meetings, etc.
  • Support the development of documentation, tutorials, workshops, and other training materials for the user community.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Crnic Institute staff and projects and their external audiences, communities. and organizations.
  • Other communications and community engagement related duties, as assigned.



Work Location:



Hybrid - This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications

Intermediate Professional:



  • A bachelor's degree in project management, business, business administration, finance, accounting , education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • 1 year of professional level experience


Senior Professional:



  • A bachelor's degree in project management, business, business administration, finance, accounting , education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • 2 years of professional-level experience

    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.




Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with project management software tools. Jira, team, Monday
  • Experience with Redcap
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification
  • Experience working in healthcare or academic research/medicine.

  • Strong working knowledge of Smartsheet

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range for this position has been established as:

Intermediate Level: $52,773 - $67,127

Senior Level: $57,052 - $72,570

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
