Georgia-Pacific's Building Products Division is seeking qualified professionals to consider for our OSB Engineering Manager opportunity, supporting our Building Products Operations. The individual in this role provide Project Engineering and Project Management (PE/PM) expertise to support capital investments up to $100 Million. PE / PMs are assigned multiple projects to manage simultaneously. This role will oversee project managers and projects at our Fordyce AR, Diboll TX, Hosford FL, Clarendon SC, Gladys VA, Mount Jewett PA and Englehart Ontario. This is a remote position with up to 75% travel (depending on project needs). The ideal candidate would be based either in Atlanta, or within 90 minutes of one of our OSB facilities. What You Will Do * Providing leadership with analysis, review, and oversite to the capital projects being executed across the OSB division. Leading/performing process checks and studies to identify bottlenecks and opportunities. * They provide training to the team of Project managers that are leading the various projects. * Providing direct plant support in troubleshooting, asset strategies, project development and execution. * Supporting and developing a network of plant asset owners through mentorship, operating procedures, best practices, and Knowledge Shares * Leading projects that restore, maintain and improve operations * Developing and applying strategies to optimize on-going operations with automation and innovative technologies * Leading and influencing different organizations to set directions for transformative work across multiple platforms. * Setting direction for capital portfolio alignment to business needs. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required * Knowledge of capital project planning and execution * Ability to oversee a portfolio of projects in multiple locations * Experience working in Wood Product facilities * Experience managing other engineers or leading a team * Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% (depending on project needs and location of candidate) What Will Put You Ahead * Ability to work with a broad range of technical and operations people. * Strong process engineering, analytical troubleshooting and decision-making skills. * Strong capabilities in Microsoft Project * Problem Solving/Sense of Urgency/Customer Focus/Team Work/Communicating * Process knowledge of OSB manufacturing * Experience managing projects greater than $10 Million * Strong presentation skills in front of senior leadership * Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment * Ability to create effective metrics and goals to drive the success of the team At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
