Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Controls Engineer to grow the process control capability within the Cedar Springs Mill in Georgia. Cedar Springs is located near the Alabama state line in the vicinity of the city of Dothan. What You Will Do * Be involved in the controls and automation design, implementation, and support of hardware and software systems for mill process equipment, such as Honeywell DCS/QCS systems and various PLCs and drives. * Implement, design, and configure advance process control strategies. Maintain functional design specifications for process control systems. * Support optimization and Advanced Process Control efforts. * Support process operations by troubleshooting installed systems to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of these systems. * Act as a project resource for new instrumentation or control/automation systems. * Partner with corporate teams to implement new technologies that support advanced manufacturing. * Work with mill personnel to identify opportunities to create value and solve problems Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering-related field plus internship/co-op experience in controls-related assignments OR industrial experience working as an electrical or instrumentation technician. What Will Put You Ahead * Three or more years of experience in controls engineering * Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry. * Experience with Honeywell DCS platforms. * Experience with Allen Bradley or similar PLC platform * Experience with control system network topology (i.e., Ethernet, firewalls, and DH+) At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
