Reporting to the Director for Student Conduct, the Associate Director will lead and manage all operations and programs supporting students' access to essential resources, including food, housing, transportation, emergency financial assistance, and other basic needs. |
Job Description |
Reporting to the Director for Student Conduct, the Associate Director will manage student of concern cases assigned with a primary focus on students in need of basic needs support, including food, housing, transportation, emergency financial assistance, and other basic needs. This role will also serve as a core member of the
CARE Team, providing case management for students experiencing crises related to basic needs. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with university departments, community organizations, and external partners to develop and implement comprehensive services that promote student well-being and success.
Case Management (35%)
* Serve as the case manager for student of concern cases with a primary focus on students in need of basic needs support.
* Utilize the Maxient case management system for case documentation and student communication.
* Meet with students of concern to provide non-clinical case management support on an initial and ongoing basis for students presenting at moderate, elevated, and critical risk levels.
* Manage all student cases related to basic needs, providing timely and supportive responses to student inquiries or concerns impacting their well-being.
* Oversee case triage, follow-up, and resolution processes to ensure prompt support for students facing challenges, with an emphasis on basic needs and crisis response.
* Develop and maintain record-keeping and data-tracking protocols in compliance with university policies and federal regulations, including
FERPA.
* Conduct active outreach to students referred for support, providing direct guidance on student support services.
* Actively participate in weekly case management meetings, facilitating clear communication and coordination within the
CARE Team.
* Coordinate Basic Needs Assistance Committee meetings to review applications for basic needs assistance.
Braves Resource Center Program Development and Management (35%)
* Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Braves Resource Center, aligning programs with university goals and prioritizing student well-being.
* Provide leadership and direction for all services and initiatives related to basic needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for both students and staff.
* Design, implement, and evaluate programs addressing students' basic needs, including food security, housing support, emergency financial assistance, and other essential resources.
* Continuously assess and enhance the effectiveness of services to ensure they meet evolving student needs.
* Develop outreach and engagement strategies to increase awareness of and access to the center's services.
Collaboration and Partnership Development (10%)
* Build and maintain strong relationships with university departments, faculty, staff, student organizations, and external partners.
* Partner with community agencies, donors, and other stakeholders to enhance resources and support for students, ensuring program sustainability and growth.
* Serve as the primary liaison for external partners, fostering positive relationships and securing funding opportunities.
Staff Management and Development (10%)
* Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate professional and student staff, interns, and volunteers.
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, offering professional development and training on crisis intervention and resource referral processes.
* Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews with team members engaged in case management and student support, identifying opportunities for training and professional growth.
Resource Management, Reporting, and Other Duties (10%)
* Develop and manage the Braves Resource Center's budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and responsibly.
* Identify and support funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and partnerships to support the center's services and programs.
* Oversee financial transactions, donor tracking, and budget monitoring.
* Maintain accurate records for case management, service utilization, program outcomes, and financial transactions.
* Prepare and present reports on program impact, budget status, grants, and strategic initiatives.
* Use data to inform decision-making and improve services.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Conduct or Dean of Students.
