The Consumer Products Supply Chain Analytics team is seeking a Data Scientist. The Data Scientist collects, analyzes, and interprets large datasets to highlight variance and work with business-connected Analytics Managers to extract meaningful insights and develop data-driven solutions. The Consumer Products Supply Chain Analytics Team is responsible for informing key stakeholders in category management, manufacturing, category supply chain, and customer solution/supply chain of gaps in our preferred supply chain strategies and developing/driving potential solutions to deliver competitive service and cost. This team will address complex supply chain challenges by utilizing advanced statistical methods, range of alternative analysis, simulations, and data visualization techniques to inform strategic decision-making and decrease risks within the Consumer Products supply chain. Location: This is a hybrid role based out of our Georgia-Pacific Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. What You Will Do * Gather data from various internal and external sources and pre-process the data to ensure it is clean and consistent, and scrub for missing data, outliers, or inconsistencies * Conduct comprehensive data exploration to understand patterns, trends, and relationships within the data * Highlight gaps and deviations from optimal strategies to analytics managers and work with managers to build knowledge of the supply chain and drive to the root cause of the issue * Develops visuals to help team members communicate key insights effectively across multiple levels of the organization * Design, develop, leverage, and improve problem-specific advanced statistical models, simulations, and algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to address specific business problems across a range of potential scenarios and maintain for changing business needs * Develop comprehensive reports summarizing key findings and actionable recommendations * Learn GP's Consumer Products Supply Chain to enable individual growth and become increasingly self-sufficient in addressing root cause over time Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or another supply chain program with an analytical focus * Experience in Python, C/C++, Java, R, or other programming languages * Experience with Alteryx or other data manipulation and analysis tools * Experience with CliQ, PowerBI, or other data visualization libraries * Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud computing platforms * Experience with statistical inference and hypothesis testing * Experience with regression and time series analysis What Will Put You Ahead * SAP system knowledge or experience * Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or another supply chain program with an analytical focus At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
