- Responsible for providing all SAP BASIS administration functions, including, but not limited to, collaborative application support, performance monitoring and tuning, planning, designing, managing, and implementing SAP systems/modules/capability within a defined landscape, archival, and adhering to the current BASIS policies and best practices with process development and documentation.
- Monitor all SAP system activity daily, including SAP ECC 6, BI/BW, HANA, Enterprise Portal, GRC, Gateway, and other SAP systems.
- Maintain SAP ECC and BW profile configurations, including monitoring and adjusting when problems occur or to improve performance.
- Administration and monitoring of Background processing and batch jobs.
- Managing print and spooling functions.
- Configure and maintain approximately 220 plus printers.
- Load balancing for application server logins.
- Monitor the workload consumed by each application server, particularly during month-end processing; add additional resources to the server whenever needed.
- Manage the import of SAP transports from development, functional, and enterprise analytics teams into the SAP ECC, BW, and other systems through typical landscapes: development, quality assurance, production, and training.
- Monitor and apply SAP support OSS notes.
- Use SAP online OSS support to research and report problems, schedule, and provide solutions.
- Maintain sandbox, development, quality assurance (QA), and training environments, including regular refreshes of QA and training systems from production and post-processing steps to maintain the system's identity in the QA/training landscape.
- Complete installation of R3, BW, and its core modules and provide continuous SAP support package upgrades.
- Upgrade the R3 kernel when necessary.
- Maintain J2EE software stacks.
- Duties cover monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting issues related to the Java stack.
- Maintain SAP Enterprise portal environment.
- Configuring backend services called by the portal; knowing how to create, change, and update an SSL certificate.
- Planning for SAP Installations, system sizing (capacity planning), disk/storage/server layout, and system installation plans.
- Monitor database growth and activity.
- Monitor database performance and adjust database resources as necessary.
- Work with Database administrators to maintain, assess, enhance, and upgrade any database used for SAP systems/applications.
- Table and index maintenance.
- Reorganize database tables and rebuild database indexes as necessary.
- Perform database backup/restore using RMAN and CommVault.
- Test database recovery scenarios every year.
- Diagnoses long-running SQL and recommends corrective actions.
- Manage and apply SAP kernel patches and upgrades.
- Coordinates with internal and external auditors for various audits and provides documentation for system updates.
- Runs standard queries and validation reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Business.
- Minimum of 10 years of technical system administration experience.
- Minimum of 10 years experience working in a Linux-based server environment
- Minimum of 10 years experience as SAP Basis Administrator.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- SAP certifications.
- SAP Basis Administration certification.
- SAP Process Orchestration Administration experience or certification.
- SAP Process Orchestration Developer experience or certification.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including familiarity with command-line scripting.
- Experience working in a Windows-based server environment, including familiarity with command-line scripting.
- Experience in SAP Basis system administration in a SAP/R3 environment.
- Experience in a web environment, especially with HTTPS and SSL configuration.
- Experience performing analysis and capacity planning in an SAP environment.
- Experiencing running SAP on Azure cloud.
- SAP BW HANA administration experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments under time constraints while maintaining high-quality work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated sophisticated reasoning skills.
- Demonstrated good analytical and problem-solving skills in researching and solving technical problems related to SAP Basis and Oracle database performance.
- Ability to execute assigned tasks with limited instruction, providing task status, and seeking help when needed.
- Ability to interact and work together as a team member with the Basis administration and other support teams.
