300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740 Summary of Job Function: The Orthopedic Spine Clinical Care Coordinator oversees the day-to-day care of patients with orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures. This includes coordinating efforts between surgeons, hospital administration, physical therapy and nursing staff while tracking the progress of the patients and identifying areas requiring improvement. Additionally, the role is responsible for patient and physician satisfaction and coordinating outreach efforts. The intent is to coordinate the entire patient experience pre-op through post discharge. Assists in supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other interdisciplinary team members. Assures that all professional nurses and LPNs practice within their specific scope of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and Regulatory standards. Is aware of and assures that all unlicensed personnel practice within the scope of practice outlined in their specific job description. Responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc. Insure that Surg Serv-Ortho/Neuro T6E is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.
