The research would focus on searches for gravitational waves with the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO), as well as optical counterparts with the Zwicky Transient Facility, a time-domain optical survey to study the transient night sky photometrically. Specifically, we are seeking those interested in work on machine learning, participating in our analysis of ground-based telescope and gravitational-wave data to study multi-messenger, transient objects by building machine learning pipelines in coordination with frontend Javascript/React.js interfaces.
