Join Benchmark Human Services as a Staffing Coordinator!

Benchmark is involved in all aspects of care for the youngest among us-from overseeing regional programs to providing hands-on services through federal and state programs. Children's Services help babies and toddlers with disabilities or delays learn new skills that typically develop during the first three years of life including physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills.

The Staffing Coordinator will provide administrative support to the program director and assistant directors, run payroll reports, serve as a human resources liaison, and conduct designated training.

Job Responsibilities:

Office functions:

  • Assist with and complete daily program payroll approval.
  • Communicate with staff and follow up to ensure correct payroll entries.
  • Assist with and complete various program reports.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Maintain files of individuals served, including electronic or hard copy formats.
  • Assist with coordinating staff meetings.
  • Complete purchase orders.

Human Resources functions:

  • Serve as the HR contact and liaison for personnel support, including FMLA, LOAs, workers' comp, benefits, and disciplinary action.
  • Maintain employee files, including electronic or hard copy formats.
  • Assist with coordinating and conducting new employee orientations, annual training, and staff meetings.
  • Collect and submit new employee paperwork for processing and filing
  • Track and ensure staff records are current (training, insurance, licensure, etc.); follow up with staff and management as needed.
  • Responsible for local recruiting efforts such as job fairs, community centers, posting employment flyers, etc.
  • Responsible for retention efforts such as focus groups, new employee follow-along, etc.
  • Maintain and communicate current staffing needs with program management and the Talent Acquisition Specialist.
  • Conduct safety drills and safety surveys
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with staff, management, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be skilled at using all forms of technology and software while possessing the ability to learn new software.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Experience in Human Resource functions a plus
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Pass the background screening process
