Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex assembly operations including wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and fitting on assembly units.
- Follow established methods and sequences of operations with minimal supervision, ensuring products meet all required specifications and tolerances.
- Conduct go/no-go testing and other quality assurance checks as needed.
- Perform visual inspections of components prior to assembly and conduct self-inspection of completed work.
- Handle delicate components with care, utilizing proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements (including ISO, FDA, and FAA standards where applicable).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Contribute to process improvement teams and provide feedback to enhance operational efficiency.
- Adapt to varying work assignments and provide flexibility to meet team and production goals.
- Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Work overtime as required to meet production demands.
- Conforms to IPC-620 standards for quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electrical assemblies, preferably in a similar role.
- IPC-610 or IPC-620 certification is a plus.
- Experience in an ISO/FDA/FAA work environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of assembly processes and tolerances.
- Experience with soldering, wire bonding, and cable harnessing.
- Good hand-eye coordination and high attention to detail.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Computer literate and able to use relevant assembly tools and software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
