Position Title: TIG Welder/CNC Programmer Laser
Wage: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00/Year Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Are you looking to make a career change? TIG Welder/CNC Programmer Laser Responsibilities: - Programs the laser equipment using nesting software - Updates routings for changes made to machined component as well as new components - Identifies new process steps to flatten/shorten route steps and BOM requirements - Determines routings based on engineering drawings and specifications - Evaluates engineering drawing with engineering software - Programs and nests laser parts using nest software - Explores and develops new approaches and processes to increase quality and productivity in the machine shop - Analyzes blueprints in order to calculate correct part dimension for tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates - Ensures that the proper tooling/fixtures required are ordered and available for production - Makes mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements - Suggests and/or collaborates on design improvements or alternative methods to manager and/or design engineers - Notifies supervisor of any quality concerns or delays - Verifies accuracy of engineering information for manufacturing - Remains flexible to shift task per manufacturing's needs - Works within deadlines to ensure timely deliveries - Problem solves and communicates effectively with work team - Contributes ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processes - Follows all safety guidelines and procedures - Performs other duties as assigned Requirements For TIG Welder/CNC Programmer Laser: - High school diploma or equivalent - AutoCAD/Inventor experience a plus - Experience with CAD/CAM - Hands on experience and knowledge of machining, fabricating, welding, and finishing of metals - Vessel or trailer design a plus - Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook - Ability to manage multiple tasks - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Excellent organizational skills - Excellent attendance and dependability - Reading comprehension, knowledge of mathematics and use of active listening skills - Critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems - Time management techniques to perform job efficiently - Mechanical ability, working without supervision and commitment to highly accurate work QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
