GENERAL OVERVIEW
Assistant SRNA Program Director is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the SRNA educational program. The Assistant SRNA Program Director provides clinical and didactic support to the School of Nurse Anesthesia student population (SRNA's). Assures the smooth day-to-day clinical responsibilities required by the school and the Department of Anesthesia. The Assistant SRNA Program Director collaborates with Chief CRNA and Clinical Director to maintain the goal of overseeing student education. She/he is directly responsible to Chief CRNA. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and CERTIFICATION: Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) Job Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited master's level CRNA program - *Master's degrees are required for CRNA Clinical Coordinator's as of 2014 - Current CRNA certification - Current Massachusetts license as RN with authorization to practice in expanded role of CRNA. - Possesses current CRNA privileges to provide anesthesia in the clinical agency assigned. Experience - Experience in managing educational program for SRNAs preferred. - Minimum 2-years practice in all aspects of Anesthesia Nursing including experience in a teaching hospital as faculty and/or clinical preceptor. Demonstrated leadership/managerial capabilities in CRNA practice. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
