Position Overview This position is for an educator to instruct a supplemental course for our afterschool, college preparation program targeting high school age students from Minneapolis Public Schools. The instructor for the following course will teach Science Exploration and Study Skills to 9th grade students. The class meets on Wednesdays. The instructor must be available from 3:00-6:00 pm Wednesdays from mid-January to May, in addition to office prep hours with a TA. This position is located at the UMN campus. Per UMN policy, work may be done remotely when appropriate and approved by your manager. All UMN employees are expected to follow applicable public health and safety procedures. Department Overview TRIO Upward Bound (TRIO UB) is a federally funded, U.S. Department of Education equal educational opportunity program. TRIO UB is a college preparatory program for high school students who come from low-income families and are working towards being a first generation college student. Pay Range: The salary range for this position is $23 - 25 per hour. Final salary offers are dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity within the department.
