Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Technician to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Work with Sales and Engineering as well as the PM to plan for the successful installation of systems through remote as well as in person and onsite meetings, implement internal meetings to review any concerns.
  • Provide expertise in new technology onboarding.
  • Provide expertise with workflow documents relating to software integrations
  • Provide expertise and assistance to other Database Engineers, Service Techs and Installers acting as an area technical resource for complex system issues as it relates to Access control, CCTV, Programming and intrusion systems including any customer concerns and questions.
  • Assist Database Engineers and PMs with scheduling of projects, looking to maximize efficiency through an understanding of technical skillsets of internal technicians as well as Subcontractor partnerships,
  • Develop internal training programs for most used products for sales, engineering and technicians.
  • Be able to train at a high - Administrator - level for customers on Access control and CCTV systems providing coaching and ensuring that the customer has a full understanding of the systems installed and their functionality.
  • Work with sales and manufacturers at Point of Sale to understand the customer requirements and expectations, pairing them with the most suitable product(s) for their site-specific applications.
  • Periodically review workloads, schedules and projects to determine the most efficient process to complete associated tasks, implement internal meetings to review projects that are in progress, Milestones on a recurring basis discussing any challenges or changes to the original SOW.
  • Make regular scheduled on-site visits to customer to be pro-active and to determine potential needs as well as handle install projects
  • Assist with system upgrades


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years programming access control and video systems


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 4-6 years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used daily
  • Advanced knowledge of networking and IT integration
  • Bachelors Degree
