The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate - Hemodialysis/Dialysis Unit
Why is this Role Is Important?
Nephrology practice includes the care of patients with impairment of renal function associated with complex diseases and disabilities. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists multi-disciplinary health care team by assisting patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, obtaining EKGs.

  • Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care
  • Preferred: Licensed, certified or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire.
  • Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.

Schedule

Rotating day/evening shifts and every other Saturday
