How you can make a difference

The Sr. Scrum Master is responsible for driving and facilitating the implementation of Scrum within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) team. This role involves guiding the team in the effective application of Scrum principles and practices, ensuring that the software development lifecycle practices are understood and followed. The Sr. Scrum Master will work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the team backlog is in good health with clear priorities and will report on progress toward goals and objectives. This position will specifically focus on implementing Scrum in a team that is not currently using it.

What you'll be doing

    Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the team remains focused and productive. Coordinate solution design conversations with Business System Analyst, Developers and QA teams.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Support Track Leads: Collaborate with track leads to manage the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Track Progress: Monitor and report on team progress using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, burnup charts, cycle time, lead time, cumulative flow diagrams (CFD), sprint goal success rate, defect density, escaped defects, and team happiness to identify areas for improvement.
  • Promote Agile Practices: Advocate for Agile principles and practices within the team and the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile methodologies and best practices, helping them to develop their skills and capabilities.
  • Facilitate Communication: Ensure effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders, promoting transparency and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with Other Teams: Work with the teams to ensure alignment and consistency across projects, facilitating cross-team collaboration.
  • Manage Stakeholder Expectations: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that the team delivers value that aligns with business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage the team to reflect on their processes and practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of Agile processes, team progress, and project status, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.

What you will need to be successful

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in an NetSuite ERP or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as aha, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
  • Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) or equivalent is preferred.

Salary Range

$104500.00 To $135,000.00 / year

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
