Why you need to join us! Position Overview: The Compliance Data Analyst will be responsible for managing operational data and reconciling invoices related to our leachate removal operations. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple departments to ensure accurate data, clear communication, and proper reconciliation of disposal-related invoices prior to payment processing. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting: - Utilize Excel skills to create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking and improving on-site operations - Analyze invoicing data for trends, discrepancies, and anomalies, and provide reports to management, as necessary. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leachate removal activities to report to compliance regulators. Interdepartmental Collaboration: - Work collaboratively with various internal departments, including Operations, Finance, and Environmental Compliance, to gather required data and resolve any issues. - Communicate clearly and effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely/accurate data collection. - Maintain and reconcile internal records of disposal to invoices submitted by vendors, and communicate any discrepancies or issues found on the invoices to the accounting department Service & Communication: - Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries regarding leachate removal invoicing. - Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and resolution of issues. Regulatory Compliance (optional but preferred): - Assist with ensuring compliance with regulatory standards related to waste management and leachate operations. - Maintain awareness of relevant regulations and provide input on improving processes to ensure continued compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Qualifications: Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Prior experience in invoice reconciliation, accounts payable, or financial operations required. - Experience with spreadsheet analysis and tracking large volumes of invoices is highly desirable. - Experience in landfill operations or regulatory compliance in the environmental sector is a plus. Skills and Abilities: - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets, create formulas, and generate reports. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple invoices and tasks at the same time, while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines. - Excellent communications skills, with a focus on fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. - Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently. Licensing and Certifications: Valid driver's license required. Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods while reviewing invoices and preparing reports. Ability to use a computer for long hours, with attention to detail. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures while attending meetings with landfill personnel. Strong focus on safety at all times, adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when on site.
