Bench Technician - Accessories

Camtronics, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, a NYSE-traded company (NYSE: HEI) is seeking a Bench Technician for our accessory components. The Bench Technician performsassessment/maintenance of aircraft avionics components to determine necessary level of repair (test, repair, and overhaul) required to return components back to service. Maintains compliance with customer repair orders and technical data (CMM, RS, EO, etc.). Operates standard avionics equipment to troubleshoot and repair articles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:



  • Read and understand drawings, prints and schematics.
  • Test, disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble aircraft components.
  • Read and accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring, diagrams, schematics diagrams and drawings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education:



  • High School Diploma or GED



Work Experience:



  • Minimum 1 year experience of maintaining and troubleshooting electrical components.
  • Hands on production experience using hand tools and measurement equipment
  • Technical experience, including reading/interpreting technical data
  • Ability to understand basic electrical components such as Diodes, resistors and ICs.
  • IPC solder certified preferred



Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:



  • Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge. Familiar with Microsoft Office products.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Reasoning Abilities: Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.



Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; bend, squat, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.. The team member may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
