Job Description
The Physician Relations Mgmt Liaison serves as the physician's advocate and liaison between the health system administrators, programs and services, and physicians. The position includes, but is not limed to, educating physicians, extenders and office personnel about Baptist Health Care programs, services and physician integration; implementing strategies to enhance communication and referral growth with physicians and BHC services; serve as a source of "in the field" market assessment and analyzing physician needs.
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes data (including physician activity, satisfaction and health care trend statistics) to assist in the development of physician outreach strategies, and to provide feedback to health system administrators on the needs and perceptions of community physicians.
- Implements specific outreach, relationship building, and educational plans targeted to community physicians in assigned territory or by specific initiative.
- Maintains ongoing contact with referring physicians, including routine or follow-up visits and phone calls.
- Identifies specific services and resources the health system can provide to benefit a physicians practice and patient population.
- Interviews physicians to communicate the health system's mission, services and strength and to identify benefits of partnerships to physicians.
- Assists with coordination and communication of physician activities and services such as networking, leadership and educational events and network opportunities.
- Identifies and resolves physician or system service delivery problems by coordinating with service line and operational leaders and recommending methods to improve and streamline services.
- Utilizes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality within the department and community of all strategic and other information regarding physicians, patients and the hospitals.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Communication, Nursing, Related field Required
Minimum Work Experience
- 2 years experience in business development including relationship cultivation and customer service Required
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple relationships, initiatives and projects.
- Versed in data interpretation and able to formulate actionable plans for set targets.
- Interpersonal and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, as well as execution and follow-through a must.
- Understanding of physician practice dynamics including communicating directly with office staff and physicians to match features and benefits, remove barriers and improve customer service required.
