Overview

The Post Closer Residential position will be responsible for the booking of all loans, timely delivery of loan collateral, audit each loan file for accuracy and ensure that the loan file is delivered to the investor in a timely manner. Responsible for the timely delivery of loan commitments to secondary market investors and accurate gain/loss is reflected for all loans sold. In charge of ensuring that loan delivery system is properly mapped to all investors to minimize lender reconciliations items that can cause delays in funding of commitment and findings during audits. Additional responsibility includes the final reconciliation of final documents. This role works closely with all mortgage loan team members as well as with investors to ensure the timely purchase of all loans.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    Monitors incoming pipeline of closed loan production and delivery to investors.

  • Evaluate closing package for booking requirements and provide booking information to loan operations.

  • Performs custodial duties related to collateral handling such as receipt logging, storage, and investor delivery.

  • Monitors daily shipping and investor delivery reports to ensure loan files are delivered within lock commitment guidelines to all investors for purchase.

  • Reviews loan documents received to determine accuracy and proper execution and ensures all Investor conditions have been met and received.

  • Stacks and scans the closing package into Encompass.

  • Saves the file and uploads it to the investor.

  • Enters all necessary information into the government agency web sites for all FHA/VA government loans including insuring of all FHA, VA and USDA loan types.

  • Responsible of paying VA funding fees and FHA mortgage insurance through agency web sites in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for delivering FHA Case Binders in a timely manner and resolving any NORs.

  • Will work closely with external QC provider to deliver loan lists for sampling and forward any selected loans for review.

  • Reconciles the purchase advice and lock confirmation and works with secondary marketing to identify and/or resolve any discrepancies.

  • Audits original recorded mortgages and final title policies to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Researches and remedies all identified exceptions and follow up with corrections as necessary.

  • Monitors reports to track outstanding original recorded mortgages and final title policies.

  • Ships original recorded mortgages and final title policies to document custodian or investor.

  • Produces precise shipping manifest and maintain delivery records.

  • Analyzes, suggests, develops and implements procedural changes to improve efficiency and productivity.



Qualifications

  • 2-4 years in Mortgage Industry with government insuring /post closings. Strong understanding of the mortgage process from origination through post-closing.
  • Essential knowledge of mortgage industry concepts, practices, and procedures, as well as, mortgage loan documentation and government insuring processes a must.

  • Strong understanding of the mortgage process from origination through post-closing.

  • This individual needs to have underwriting/significant processing background.

  • Ability to serve as the primary point of contact to resolve and escalate issues using superior problem solving abilities.

  • Conventional, FHA, VA, GSE delivery experienced required.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time wisely. Strong work ethics with superior analytical organizational and problem solving abilities.



Education

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
