Duration: Contract 6 Months

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 20 hrs/ week

Shift: Part-time (15-25 hours/ week)

Pay: $26.31/hr

Job Description:



  • This position is needed for job duties currently performed by another student, who has recently graduated and will no longer work at Valley Water.
  • The position is critical in supporting the Domestic Well Testing (DWT) Program, which provides qualifying well owners with quality testing of their private water supply well.


Job Duties:



  • The intern will acquire experience and skills in customer service and water quality sampling processes through the private Domestic Well Testing (DWT) Program and other groundwater program related tasks.
  • This assignment will provide technical and administrative support of the DWT program, including communication with well owners, sampling activities, and records management. Other duties will include,
  • Data and documentation management such as data entry and validation
  • Technical support including data analysis, and 3) field work including various groundwater monitoring activities.


Knowledge, skills and abilities needed to do the job:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic engineering and math principals, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and GIS skills.


Applicable college curriculum or major (If intern assignment):



  • Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science
