Cox Enterprises is currently looking for an
Assistant General Counsel, Commercial Services to join our team in
Atlanta, Georgia .
The Role: The Assistant General Counsel, Commercial Services will join a dynamic legal team, serving the commercial business unit of Cox Communications. The commercial business unit includes Cox Business, Hospitality Network, BluePrint RF, and RapidScale, with total annual revenues of approximately $3.5+ Billion. This individual will serve as the primary legal support for a portion of the commercial business unit, supporting Hospitality Network and BluePrint RF. This individual will be part of a team of transactional lawyers that serve other portions of the commercial business unit. This role reports to the Vice President, Legal - Commercial Services. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, complex deal negotiator, and strategic partner to a dynamic, fast-paced and sophisticated sales team. The qualified candidate must be able to address a wide range of transactional and commercial matters that affect day-to-day business operations, including drafting, negotiating, and interpreting commercial contracts, advising on business strategy, collaborating with various Cox attorneys (that specialize in litigation, compliance, labor and employment, intellectual property, etc.), and offering general legal support to the business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial contracts, general corporate matters, and counseling business leaders across a wide range of transactional matters. This is a role for a confident, proactive, commercially minded attorney who can operate with autonomy but also collaborate well with others, and who can manage complicated projects and build positive relationships with the business team. The position involves regular interaction with the Vice President, Legal - Commercial Services, and other senior company leaders as well as collaboration with leaders from the various business groups. USD 192,800.00 - 321,400.00 Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary of $192,800.00 - $321,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program. Benefits: The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
