What you'll do As part of the Global Space Networks group, you will have the opportunity to influence a number of our businesses from Maritime to Commercial Air to Land Mobile. And your first challenge will be on our latest aviation terminal. As the aviation system test engineer you will leverage the automated test infrastructure for automating and adapting a suite of new and existing tests written for the GEN3 terminal for the platform as well as performing other system test level activities to include: documentation, integration, test procedures and requirements validation. The day-to-day * Work with various development teams and system engineering to define integration and test activities for assigned system features * Write feature integration test plans as needed and review them with technical stakeholders * Troubleshoot problems as they arise and work with development teams to resolve issues * Track and report on integration & test progress for assigned features What you'll need * 5+ years of Experience with hardware/software system integration * Test plan/procedure development experience * Experience with agile development lifecycle * Strong organization skills and ability to work with multiple development and test teams * Bachelor's degree in a STEM field What will help you on the job * SATCOM or Wireless/RF Communication System experience * Requirement management/project engineering experience * Test automation experience * Knowledge of networking (IP, TCP, UDP, Routing etc.) Salary range $107,500.00 - $153,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $133,500.00- $180,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
