Job Summary:
Job Summary The Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Fleet Supervisor is responsible for driving HME cost efficiencies, availability, and productivity. They actively seek out innovative solutions, implement best practices, and monitor fleet performance metrics to identify areas for optimization. By leveraging data analysis and performance reporting, the HME Fleet Supervisor makes informed decisions regarding fleet size adjustments, replacement schedules, and maintenance interventions, ultimately maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Essential Duties
- Develop and execute HME Fleet Management strategies to optimize performance, cost, and utilization
- Implement data-driven systems to track and analyze performance metrics (e.g., availability, utilization, maintenance costs)
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HME efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, maintenance, procurement) to align HME strategies with broader business goals
- Build and maintain relationships with HME Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to stay informed about industry innovations and leverage partnerships
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Oversee HME fleet budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage HME fleet replacement and disposal strategies
- Advance improved RCO relative to HME performance utilization, OPEX and CAPEX
- Provide HME technical leadership and strategic guidance as the site SME
- Create and deliver 5-year HME Fleet Plans including rightsizing, cascading and & prioritization of CAPEX including working with HME stakeholders such as Procurement & Finance
- Liaise with other Specialty Granules HME Fleet Managers and Reliability Manager to promote global initiatives and objectives
- Ensure leading practices, solutions, and new ideas are shared and implemented.
- Collaborate with leadership team members to implement Fleet Management and Load and Haul process elements
- Stay connected to emerging technologies
- Work with the Capital Management team
- Responsible for the local use of the HME database

Qualifications Required
- One Year Certificate from College or Tech School Post-secondary education in a related field; inclusive of Vocational training programs, trade school Required or
- Associate's Degree Post-secondary education in a related field; inclusive of Vocational training programs, trade school Required or
- Bachelor's Degree Post-secondary education in a related field; inclusive of Vocational training programs, trade school Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in HME maintenance or fleet management
- Demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives and achieving cost savings
- combination of mechanic with a specialty with heavy diesel maintenance preferred.
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop detailed data reports and present to key business stakeholders
