The Opportunity

The Director, Business Systems & Data is responsible for driving maturity and excellence with all technical aspects of Ulteig's enterprise-wide business systems. Their role involves developing, implementing, and managing these systems to ensure seamless operations and improved efficiency. This key leadership role reports directly to Ulteig's Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for aligning Ulteig's technology solutions with business goals and providing strategic leadership to drive innovation and optimize business processes across various departments and functions.

What You'll Do
* Supports and upholds the Vision and Values of Ulteig.
* Leads and directs the work of others involved in the technology aspects of Ulteig's business systems. This includes but is not limited to security, custom configuration, custom development, integration, data, and life cycle management.
* Seeks out knowledge of industry technology trends and standards and applies them to Ulteig.
* Informs and supports the creation and execution of Ulteig's strategic plan.
* Provides problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
* Takes ownership for leading the human capital aspects of all employees in his or her reporting structure, including engagement, retention, development, and effective management of team engagement.
* Evaluates and conveys return on investment for new technology pursuits in partnership with Finance, Strategy, Business Operations, and Sales Operations.
* Responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing adherence to the budgets in his or her area of responsibility.
* Builds relationships with other leaders across Ulteig and works to ensure Ulteig's business systems are meeting or exceeding today's requirements and is positioned well for the future.
* Manages and negotiates technology contracts in coordination with other stakeholders, legal, and CXO leadership as appropriate.
* Ensures the company has the appropriate business systems in place to support current and future needs.
* Leads company business analytics function, drives a maturing culture of data discovery and ensures appropriate and accurate reporting assets are in place across the business
* Develop and enforce governance policies, standards, and procedures for enterprise-wide business systems to maintain data integrity and security.
* Oversee the integration of various business systems, ensuring they work cohesively and efficiently together.
* Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure value for investments.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with business systems, including data breaches, system failures, and compliance issues.
* Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor system performance, making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating system enhancements and staying current with technological advancements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
* Ensure that business systems meet all regulatory and security requirements, including data privacy and industry-specific standards.
* Generate reports and maintain comprehensive on system configurations, integrations, processes, and procedures for reference and auditing purposes.
* Oversee the planning and execution of system-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
* Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize system downtime and data loss in case of emergencies.
* Maintain coordination and a sense of "one team" with adjacent business systems team members in other parts of the organization.
* This role is a member of the Ulteig Leadership Team (ULT) where collaboration and engagement in an interdependent organization are expected. Leaders may be called upon to lead, manage or play an active role in different cross-functional projects and initiatives.

What We Expect from You
* Bachelor's degree required
* Minimum of 15 years of experience in business systems; including a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience directly in business systems
* Experience leading in an environment that leverages Microsoft Dynamics (F&O, or AX) is required
* Additional experience with other platforms Ulteig leverages will be considered as well. This includes Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM), Workday Adaptive Planning (Budget & CPM), UKG UltiPro (HRIS), and Planview AdaptiveWork (Project Management)
* Prior experience leading aspects of business systems in a matrix organization
* High level of confidentiality required
* Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $181,200-$245,200
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
