Position Summary

Plans and coordinate activities for subsea inspection services and prepare technical scopes of work in cooperation with the Onshore / Offshore Subsea Inspection Coordinators. Assist with subsea inspection work and data collection by ROV, Diving and Offshore High Resolution Geophysical and Hydrographic surveys. Prepare inspection procedures, work drawings and data sheets as required by program owners in conjunction with the onshore / offshore subsea inspection coordinators. Analysis of the collected data. Reports reviews, e.g. daily progress report, draft, and final inspection reports. Assist in preparation of subsea repair and intervention work packages.

LOCATION

* When not offshore or traveling, role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office/shop when required.
* Position requires the ability to travel globally up to 40%.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

* Ensure project requirements are covered to adequately support inspection scopes of work, including qualified personnel, tooling, technical documents, and procedures.
* Manages and directs personnel and subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of projects.
* Oversee and verify appropriate offshore data collection.
* Manages and directs personnel and subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of projects.
* Equipment preparation and logistics.
* Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve problems and improve methods.
* Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to IACS specifications, regulatory requirements, and the adherence to project schedules.
* Develops efficient operational methods and evaluates/selects optimal work sequences for the safe and efficient execution of project tasks.
* Ensures all procedures are adhered to and complies with international safety management (ISM), classification society rules, and Maritime insurance.
* Global travel up to 40% of time.
* Maintain records and database for all tools and tooling utilization under his/her control.
* Assist with the responsibility for mobilization and demobilization of all tooling used for inspection services.
* Capture and execute lessons learned for project and tooling improvements.

ADDITIONAL

* Support and verify appropriate personnel, equipment, and logistics.
* Keeps abreast of the statutory and class regulations and standards.
* Maintains all completed paperwork and required documents.
* Maintain required certifications and qualifications.
* Continued growth and development of inspection craft.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Minimum of 3 years of subsea asset inspection experience (3.4U system equivalent).
* English proficiency.
* MS Office.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience overseeing inspections in a subsea or topside environment or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience with UWILD regulatory requirements.
* Ability to travel globally up to 40%.
* Must be a US citizen.
* Must possess or be able to obtain:

o Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
o GulfSafe training.
o Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and Water Survival Training.
o Valid Passport.

DESIRED

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working in shipping industry or operational drilling or equivalent experience.
* CSWIP 3.4 certificate.
* Nexus, Marisoft, Coabis software.
* MS Project.
* AutoCAD.
* Engineering or Science Major (preferred).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

* Ability to elaborate reports.
* Ensures that reporting is always done in a clear and understanding manner.
* Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within area of responsibility.

Additional Information

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is considered 50% OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows:

* Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
* Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
* Work surface is stable (flat).

This position is considered 50% OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows:

* Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.
* Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
* Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels, and the light is intense/glares.
* Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
* Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
* Work surface is stable, height is elevated.
