Job Overview

Specializes in preparing and serving hot and cold beverages tailored to meet customer preferences. Promotes a positive customer service experience through greeting patrons in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner. Takes and prepares food and beverage orders and rings up customers accurately. Keeps products stocked in the coffee shop and maintains cleanliness of the prep and coffee shop spaces. Knowledge and application of food and beverage quality controls, food safety, preparation methods, and presentation are expected.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 6 months in a related customer service position. 2+ years of barista experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. These examples do not include all the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

  • Serves all customers in a warm, friendly manner with exceptional customer service.
  • Prepares all beverages to recipe specifications and re-heats food items according to instruction.
  • Operates cash register system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains a cash drawer total within a three-dollar variance of the daily sales total.
  • Maintains equipment standards including cleaning of equipment for food safety purposes.
  • Stocks and rotates products, ensuring food and beverage items are properly labeled.
  • Maintains cleanliness of dining area, wash dishes, empties trash, sweeps and mops as needed.
  • Completes cleaning checklists and duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $34,458.98 to $51,688.46
Hourly Salary Range: $16.57 to $24.85

Children's Colorado delivers annual base pay increases to eligible team members based on their performance over the previous year.
