Position Summary:

Apellis is seeking a Senior Manager of Supply Chain ERP & Planning Technology to lead the strategic development, integration, and optimization of our commercial supply chain technologies. This position will be pivotal in enhancing the overall efficiency, agility, and visibility of our supply chain processes through the effective management and evolution of our ERP and planning systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both supply chain operations and ERP systems, coupled with a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of technology-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:



  • Serve as the supply chain super user for Apellis ERP system, managing the ongoing design and implementation of continuous improvement projects, with a focus on inventory management, direct material procurement, and distribution.
  • Translate business requests into functional requirements and collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to develop implementation plans.
  • Develop and document business processes and procedures.
  • Conduct training of all end users on supply chain aspects of Apellis ERP system and supply chain planning system.
  • Drive organizational change management efforts related to system upgrades, process changes, and new technology adoption within the supply chain.
  • Develop processes, standards, and governance around creation and maintenance of master data.
  • Provide first line of support and insights for questions within supply chain team and from cross-functional stakeholders on troubleshooting, methods and data issues related to ERP & planning tools.
  • Key interface between supply chain team and IT, to ensure effective communication and resolution of business needs and issues.
  • Conduct testing and issue resolution for queries related to ERP system and planning tools.
  • Identify, analyze, and implement continuous improvement projects to drive expanded capabilities and improve the efficiency of existing processes.
  • Collaborate with in-house IT team or external vendors for resolution, enhancement and addition of planning tools capability.
  • Identify how emerging technologies can be deployed and used to improve supply chain processes, ensuring alignment between business objectives and operational needs.


Education, Registration & Certification:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar education required.
  • Master's Degree and/or Supply Chain certification is a plus.


Experience:



  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Supply Chain roles of increasing complexity, including 4+ years in leadership roles managing supply chain technology / ERP.


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:



  • Strong command of supply chain systems, specifically SAP and supply planning solutions.
  • Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional projects and driving technology optimization and implementation.
  • Experience driving business processes and change management around master data management, & ERP utilization
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including supply planning, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into solutions.
  • Ability to clearly communicate information between end users and IT, and the knowledge of when issues need to be escalated.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments and great organizational skills to effectively balance a broad range of projects and tasks in parallel.

  • Ability to identify key insights and use critical thinking to prioritize and focus on the highest-value opportunities or the biggest risks.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


Travel Requirements:



  • May require occasional travel to headquarters and/or supplier locations (estimated 10%)
